About Elena

A journey of healing, growth, and authentic connection

My Journey to Therapy

My path to becoming a therapist began with a deep curiosity about human experience and the many ways we navigate life's complexities. From an early age, I was drawn to understanding what makes us who we are—our relationships, our struggles, and the moments of transformation that shape our lives.

After completing my formal education in psychology and psychotherapy, I discovered Gestalt therapy and felt an immediate resonance with its holistic, present-centered approach. This modality aligned perfectly with my belief that true healing happens when we engage fully with our experiences, rather than simply analyzing them from a distance.

Over the years, I've had the privilege of working with diverse individuals—each bringing their unique stories, challenges, and strengths. Through this work, I've learned that therapy is not about fixing what's broken, but about creating a space where authentic self-discovery and growth can unfold naturally.

My Approach

Gestalt Therapy: Present, Whole, Authentic

Gestalt therapy is a humanistic, present-centered approach that views you as a whole person—not a collection of problems to be fixed. The word "Gestalt" means "whole" or "pattern," reflecting the core belief that we are best understood in our entirety, including our thoughts, emotions, body sensations, and relationships.

In our sessions, we focus on the here and now—what you're experiencing in this moment. Rather than endlessly analyzing the past, we explore how past experiences show up in your present life. This awareness creates opportunities for genuine change and integration.

My role is not to tell you what to do, but to create a safe, supportive space where you can explore your experiences with curiosity and self-compassion. Together, we'll pay attention to patterns, unfinished business, and the ways you might be holding yourself back from fuller expression and connection.

What to Expect

  • Collaborative Partnership: We work together as equals, with you as the expert on your own life and experience.
  • Present-Moment Focus: We'll explore what's alive for you right now, including feelings, sensations, and patterns emerging in our conversation.
  • Experiential Work: Beyond talking about your experiences, we'll sometimes experiment with new ways of being, using creative exercises and embodied awareness.
  • Authenticity & Realness: I bring my genuine self to our sessions and invite you to do the same, without pretense or performance.
  • Holistic View: We'll attend to your whole self—mind, body, emotions, and relationships—recognizing that all parts are interconnected.
